Ability to Change 'Action Button' Setting

I noticed that I currently cannot change the 'Action Button' setting in the app. It would be beneficial to have the flexibility to customize this setting according to my preferences. This feature would enhance my user experience by allowing me to tailor the app's functionality to better suit my needs.

I agree with Daniel down below. Multiple functions of the action button would be great. I already use it to start a new conversation and would love a different button combination to mute or unmute. Something like:
Long-press to turn the device on or off. (see note below)
One short press to mute or unmute. (see note below)
Two short presses to begin a new conversation. (already present)
Now, this only works for Fieldy 3 if the front button is not too sensitive. My Omi device is always being turned off by something touching it under my shirt. It's been the seatbelt, equipment I'm carrying, the chest strap on my ruck, hugging my wife, my cats, my dogs, everything. I hope this is being considered with Fieldy 3's front button setup.

I'm amazed that I can't just the bottom once to record and once to stop recording

This would be nice because I live in a state in the US where both parties being recorded have to give consent. It would be more useful to me to be able to mute Fieldy by using the action button rather than pulling out my phone and muting it through the app.

Mute/Unmute Feature on Compass Unit

I would like to have the ability to mute and unmute directly from the compass unit without needing to access the app. This feature would enhance convenience and efficiency, especially when I am on the go or in situations where accessing the app is not feasible.

Action Button Functionality Improvement

The action button on my new Fieldy is always greyed out, which limits its functionality. I was informed that this is a known issue and that improvements are underway. I look forward to an update that will enable the action button, enhancing the device's usability.

Pretty sure this should be merged with a more popular request that covers the same thing.

Program actions for double-click functionality

I am curious about the possibility of programming specific actions to the double-click functionality on my Fieldy device. It would be beneficial to have the option to customize what a double-click can do, such as starting a conversation or other actions, to enhance the device's usability.

Should probably be merged with "Ability to Change 'Action Button' Setting" feature suggestion.

hello, what would you use action button setting for?

Adomas Valiukevicius as a general matter, if I am wearing something with a button, I want that button to be able to trigger whatever via Android's standard methods of dealing with Bluetooth buttons. I personally would not want to change the default use of the button, but there are double presses, triple presses, quadruple presses, long presses, long press followed by short press(es), etc.
I think it would be easy to implement this in a way where 70% of users who do not care do not even know the options exist, but those 30% or more techie users (probably more than that now during the early adopter phase) will be absolutely delighted.
It is the kind of thing people show people, eg, "not only does it do (awesome functionality), but when I triple-press it, my garage door opens! Come outside and look at this! 😁
(Specifically, I would want both a simple interface for it to do standard things like play/pause, next, etc. and for it to be accessible from Tasker and other common automation apps. For an example of a simple GUI to do simple things, take a look at the "Touch The Notch" app.)
