I need a way to mark specific spots in transcripts to separate summaries when something changes. Additionally, the ability to merge two conversations would be helpful. For example, when watching a lecture online and getting interrupted, I want to segregate the conversation with family and merge the two halves of the lecture for a summary. This would improve the organization and clarity of transcripts.

I would also find this extremely helpful for the same reasons. Even better if we can edit the summaries in any way due to errors.

The need for merging conversations could even be simply addressed by providing an option to disable automatic conversations giving the user more control over when conversations are considered finished. Five minutes of silence isn’t really a justification to consider a conversation over.

I had a meeting where Fieldy split the discussion into two notes automatically, even though there was no break in the discussion. It would be beneficial to have a feature that allows merging two separate notes back into one, especially when they are part of the same conversation.

I need the ability to split an existing transcript into separate conversations based on specific time periods. This feature would be helpful when there is no silence between sessions, such as when I finish with one patient and immediately start with another. It would allow me to manage and organize my transcripts more effectively.

Ability to delete specific parts of a conversation

I need to delete a specific part of a conversation transcript while keeping the rest intact. Currently, the system only allows for deleting the entire conversation, which is not ideal for situations where only a portion needs to be removed. It would be beneficial to have the ability to edit or delete specific sections of a conversation.

+1 this request, maybe merge with request to delete segments from a recording.
A strong use case is for this is conversations that sometimes partially get assigned to a known meeting, and then part record after the stated meeting time ends.
Additionally, it struggles with quick changes of conversation that happen naturally (move from zoom call to telephone call). Since such switches are not always planned, relying on use interaction to start new recording is not effective.
Maybe a global way to state “merge with” in the summary view, and also a way to insert a marker into the transcript for “delete between markers”, “merge between markers with …”
